I think I know these boots but I can't recall the set or the vendor they belong to. They are not part of the shown suit because that'S the Vindicator Suit and it has high heels.

Reworking Fever

I'm currently reworking older scenes or using existing scene sets to polish up my older works. The reason for it is very simple:

Age of Armors Advanced Light Sets

I highly recommend these lights for all hobbyists who have no time for extreme realistic renders and who don't want to wait for test renders half an hour to finish. I am very satisfied with the speed of the primitive hitmode which delivers quick renders for checking materials, lights, shadows and all the tiny details I normally work out with millions of test renders. I can't stand it when these tests take more than a few minutes although I can spend hours on refining materials and compositions. that's why i've never switched to Reality or other slower lighting methods. It makes my crazy.

Now I'm able to check a lot in short time and leave the long time for the final render.

Happy new Year... and what does the horse say?

I wish you all a happy new year.

And now back to the horse. I am currently working on some sort of comic based on one of my deviations.

and I've stumbled upon the problem that i am not quite sure which written noise a horse makes in comics.

In german it's something like "wiiihiiiii" which is the sound of neighing. Do I write "neiiiigghh" in English? I've tried to google this but you only get a lot of "the horse says neigh!" jokes but no actual comic panel where a horse is not capable of speaking human languages.

However I will submit the first panels in the next hours. I the moment the horse just snorts instead of neighing.

I found this nice Journal Skin and thought... maybe I can remove the old one from 2011...

ahem

I can't promise that I will find time to write more journals the next year. Sometimes there is just nothing interesting to say. I could rant about the fact that 3D content creators can't make good boots and just copy the same high heels over and over again... but you may not be really interested in that.

I thought about making some new Journal Skins but I will first get a little bit more familiar with the new layout of dA. They changed quite a lot.

Well, I've kicked out a few clubs which aren't active anymore. Mostly because they didn't transform to a group. And there is one whose admins seem to think a group is a place to showcase their art alone and everybody else is nothing more than audience.

Well, instant kick for them.

And thanks to all who noticed my birthday.

I really appreciate that.

Solo Series

Well, I decided to play a bit with colourful light to get a better feeling for dramatic lighting. I don't want to try it on complete scenes at the moment because that would take too much time per scene. I have a lot of characters who are in my opinion interesting enough to get some kind of solo shot with black background. Sometimes a figure looks really cool without a scene. You can just concentrate on the figure.
There are figures I spent hours composing there clothes and materials but they wait for the appropriate scene to be shown. Very often the character is easy to compose but the background is a real b****. That's why they never got a chance.
